About us
Background
The University of Edenberg (UoE) was established by visionaries and eminent educationists to
impart engineering, science, technology and innovation for the development of Africa in
particular Zambia. The University of Edenberg was registered by the Higher Education Authority
(HEA) on 27th December 2019. The University strives to sustain the highest global standards and
best practices in higher education. The University believes that higher education is a basic right
which promotes world peace and global economic development. The University is committed to
provide passionate learners with quality higher education and open new avenues of learning to
empower the individuals and help them in becoming self-reliant.
The science, engineering, technological advancements and 21st century skills have enhanced
every aspect of our lives today and would further improve the standard of living in the coming
decades. UoE wanted to partner in the development of Africa from Zambia through its
contributions in the field of Science, Engineering, Technology, ICT, Medical, Health,
Agriculture, Education, etc. through Competence Based Education (CBE) and Outcome Based
Education (OBE) programme. When many higher learning instructions are shying away from
Science, Engineering and Technology UoE will be the first choice of the University in the given
relevant field.
Zambia as a large, landlocked, resource-rich country ready to be Africa’s next major technology
and knowledge hub. The University programmes in Science, Technology and Innovation (STI)
contribute to the development of national capacities to improve the competitiveness of firms and
industries in a global economy in which knowledge is an increasingly important factor for the
achievement of Zambia’s Vision 2030, where Science, Technology and Innovation have always
been an integral part in the national development and critical means of implementation of the
Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The University has built a sustainable and scalable model to serve those millions whose talent
and creativity is being lost today. The University is dedicated to access higher education globally
delivered both through regular face-to-Face and online of its programme. More than 1000+
professionals volunteered for leadership roles, serving as Vice Chancellor, as Deans, as Administrators, or as Faculty. The UoE is also supported by the generosity of Individuals and
foundations across the globe.
